We are a TMJ Practice focusing on TMJ disorders, TMJ pain, Craniofacial Pain such as Headaches and Migraines, Sleep Apnea, and Sleep Disorder Breathing located in Arcadia Monrovia, California
Welcome to our practice! More than 10 million Americans suffer from Temporomandibular Disorder (TMD), commonly referred to as TMJ, and may not know it or know how to seek effective treatment. We focus on treating facial pain and unexplained jaw pain caused by TMJ that may be affecting your everyday life. Our office has advanced training in treating TMJ disorder and TMJ-related symptoms.
We use state-of-the-art technology, including a CT evaluation of your TMJ to determine if issues here are causing any pathology that can create jaw dysfunction, irregular noises, dentofacial deformities, or pain and headaches. We also use a computerized bite analysis that is incredibly more precise than traditional methods.
TMJ problems can be linked to other health issues such as migraines, sleep apnea, ringing in the ears, and more. Unlike other TMJ specialists who only provide a temporary solution, Our mission is to restore you to your lifestyle prior to your condition and improve your overall health for a stable long-term result.
TMJ and Sleep Apnea Orthodontic Solutions
Treating TMJ symptoms and sleep apnea with just an oral removable appliance otherwise known as a mouthguard is a common, yet temporary solution. In order to fully resolve TMJ symptoms and sleep apnea symptoms, Dr. Keri Do believes we must treat and find the cause. Before we can provide proper treatment, we need to find out what is causing these symptoms. The primary cause of TMJ symptoms and sleep apnea is that the teeth, top jaw, and bottom jaw are retruded or pushed back. With our background in TMJ, Sleep Apnea, and craniofacial pain, Dr. Do applies her knowledge to align the jaw at the patient’s most naturally comfortable position. This promotes a healthy jaw joint, airway, and a beautiful face. Once those are established, the TMJ (temporal mandibular joint ) is aligned, the posture is improved, the airway is opened, and the patient's symptoms improve. Our goal is to establish a healthy TMJ, a functional airway, a beautiful facial profile, and a great smile.
