Sleep deprivation is a health problem
Did you know that you are a high risk for cardiovascular disease if you average less than five hours of sleep a night. Studies show that it increases by almost 50% compared to people who obtain more than five hours of sleep. The average person between ages 25-65 should sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Anyone over 65 years old should average 7-8 hours of sleep. If you have untreated sleep apnea, you are decreasing your life expectancy since you are not achieving quality sleep and receiving much less that the national average. Snoring is a great indicator if you have early sleep apnea, or developing sleep apnea. Dr. Keri Do at Manoa Dental can evaluate your condition and make the best recommendation for your situation.
